🛒 Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes (best for baking)
  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1–2 tsp coarse salt
  • Optional: black pepper, garlic powder

🔥 Oven Method (Best Texture)

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2️⃣ Scrub & dry potatoes well.
3️⃣ Pierce each potato 5–6 times with a fork.
4️⃣ Rub with oil, then sprinkle generously with salt.
5️⃣ Place directly on oven rack (or on a wire rack over a tray).
6️⃣ Bake 45–60 minutes, until:

  • Skin is crisp
  • Knife slides in easily

1️⃣ Microwave 5–8 minutes (flip halfway).
2️⃣ Finish in 425°F oven for 10–15 minutes to crisp the skin.
