Colon cleansing soup for bowel emptying

Here’s a simple and effective colon cleansing soup designed to support bowel movements, hydration, and digestive health. While it’s called “colon cleansing,” it mainly works by stimulating digestion, softening stool, and providing fiber.


Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 1 cup chopped cabbage (high in fiber and water)
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced or chopped
  • 1 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1–2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 zucchini, chopped
  • 4 cups vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1 tsp olive oil (optional)
  • Salt, pepper, and herbs (parsley, thyme, or cilantro) to taste

Preparation

  1. Sauté vegetables
    • In a pot, heat olive oil (optional) and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add broth and vegetables
    • Add cabbage, carrots, celery, zucchini, and broth.
  3. Simmer
    • Cook for 20–25 minutes until vegetables are soft.
  4. Season and Serve
    • Add salt, pepper, and herbs. Serve hot.

💡 Variation:
For extra effectiveness, add 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed or chia seeds to the soup after cooking — it increases fiber and promotes bowel regularity.
