Here’s a simple and reliable lemon cake recipe you can make at home—soft, moist, and full of citrus flavor 🍋


🍰 Classic Lemon Cake

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ½ cup butter (softened)
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp lemon zest
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a cake pan.
  2. Cream butter & sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  4. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla.
  5. In another bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Pour batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool before removing from the pan.

🍋 Optional Lemon Glaze

Mix:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp lemon juice

Drizzle over the cooled cake for extra tangy sweetness.
