4-Ingredient Slow Cooker Pork Chops
Overview
These slow cooker pork chops are tender, flavorful, and easy to prepare with just four main ingredients. The creamy ranch sauce keeps the pork moist while it cooks slowly, making this a comforting meal for busy days.
Ingredients
- 4–6 pork chops (about 1 inch thick; bone-in recommended for extra tenderness)
- 1 can (10.5 oz / 298 g) cream of chicken soup
- 1 packet (1 oz / 28 g) ranch seasoning mix
- ½ cup (120 ml) chicken broth
Optional Garnishes (not counted in the 4 ingredients)
- Fresh parsley
- Black pepper
- A sprinkle of paprika
Equipment
- Slow cooker (4–6 quart size)
- Mixing bowl
- Whisk or spoon
Preparation Steps
1. Prepare the Pork Chops
- Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
- Trim any excess fat if desired.
- Season lightly with black pepper. (The ranch seasoning already contains salt, so extra salt usually isn’t needed.)
2. Make the Creamy Sauce
- In a bowl, combine:
- Cream of chicken soup
- Ranch seasoning mix
- Chicken broth
- Stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
3. Assemble the Slow Cooker
- Lightly grease the slow cooker with cooking spray or a small amount of oil.
- Place the pork chops in a single layer if possible.
- Pour the creamy sauce mixture evenly over the pork chops.
4. Slow Cook
Cook until the pork chops are tender:
- Low setting: 6–7 hours
- High setting: 3–4 hours
Avoid lifting the lid frequently while cooking, as this releases heat and can increase cooking time.
5. Serve
- Carefully remove the pork chops from the slow cooker.
- Stir the sauce before serving.
- Spoon the creamy sauce over the pork chops.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with:
- Mashed potatoes to soak up the creamy sauce
- Steamed green beans
- Roasted vegetables
- Rice or egg noodles
- A side salad
Storage
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3–4 days.
- Reheat gently in the microwave or on the stovetop with a little extra broth or water if the sauce thickens.
Tips for Best Results
- Use bone-in pork chops for the juiciest texture.
- Thicker chops work better for slow cooking.
- Do not overcook, especially with thin boneless chops, as they can become dry.
- For a richer sauce, stir in a small splash of milk or cream before serving.
