Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Garlic Flatbread that’s soft, flavorful, and perfect as a side or snack:


🥖 Garlic Flatbread

🧾 Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Optional: fresh herbs (parsley, thyme, or rosemary)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough
    • In a bowl, mix flour and salt.
    • Add warm water and 1 tbsp olive oil.
    • Knead until smooth and elastic (5–7 minutes).
    • Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Shape the Flatbreads
    • Divide dough into 4–6 equal pieces.
    • Roll each piece into a thin circle or oval.
  3. Cook the Flatbreads
    • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
    • Brush with olive oil and sprinkle minced garlic (and herbs if using).
    • Cook each side 2–3 minutes until golden brown and slightly puffed.
  4. Serve
    • Serve warm as a side for curries, soups, or salads.
    • Optional: brush with extra garlic butter for a richer flavor.

✨ Tips

  • For extra flavor, mix minced garlic into the dough as well.
  • Sprinkle with grated Parmesan or chili flakes for a twist.
  • Can also be baked in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 8–10 minutes if you prefer.
