Recipe from grandma’s cooking blog

Posted on April 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a simple “grandma-style” cooking blog recipe—comfort food, no fancy ingredients, just home flavor:

🥔 Grandma’s Creamy Garlic Mashed Potatoes

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 kg potatoes (peeled and chopped)
  • 3–4 cloves garlic (crushed)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup milk (warm)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper (optional)
  • A pinch of parsley (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Boil the potatoes
Put chopped potatoes in salted water. Add garlic cloves. Boil until soft (about 15–20 minutes).
  2. Drain and mash
Drain water and mash potatoes while still hot.
  3. Add butter
Mix butter into the hot potatoes so it melts completely.
  4. Add milk slowly
Pour warm milk little by little while mixing until creamy.
  5. Season it
Add salt and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Serve warm
Sprinkle parsley on top if you like.

🍽️ Grandma’s tip:

“For extra softness, don’t over-mash—keep a little texture. And always use warm milk, never cold.”
